Ethiopia is the legendary birthplace of coffee. The country grows exclusively Arabica coffee, located between 1500 and 2300 masl. The terroir of Yrgacheffe is typically famous for its floral notes of jasmine.
However, numerous coffees called Yirgacheffe are sold as typical coffees from the area, but very few are truly original from the village of Yirgacheffe. With this coffee, we offer you a coffee actually originated from the very famous city of Yirgachefe the heart of the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region. This coffee comes from Gedeo zone, more precisely from Kochere Woreda (the woreda is a department inside Ethiopia).Coming from the ECX market (Ethiopian Coffee Exchange), this coffee is not a cooperative or an estate coffee with complete traceability, but its grade 2 guarantees the origin of Yrgacheffe for this coffee, and the A type guarantees that this coffees have Yirgachefe flavor.
