Of all the regions located near Inza and the city of Popayán, Cauca is the best known for coffee growing. The high plains of Popayán are ideal for growing high quality coffee, with on one hand the high altitude and proximity to the equator, and on the other hand the surrounding mountains which protect the coffee from humidity of the Pacific and the trade winds of the south. The result is an all- year-round stable climate set on a rich volcanic soil.
Popayán is the capital of Cauca in the south of Colombia and boasts 258,653 inhabitants. The climate is mild and temperatures vary between 18 and 25°C over the course of the year. The weather is ideal and pleasant all year round for growing coffee.
This coffee is the fruit of the work of several growers who combine efforts to offer a high quality coffee with chocolaty notes.
